In July 2007 over 40,000 scouts from all over the world will be coming together for the 21st World Scout Jamboree which will also coincide with the 100th anniversary of Scouting. The Greater London North unit of 4 leaders and 36 Scouts (6 from Southgate) is just a small part of this. |

Six Southgate Scouts, chosen to be part of this summer's County Unit attending The World Scout Jamboree, have put on an international evening featuring a sumptuous meal and an entertaining quiz. The evening was an outstanding success. |
New Year's Day Parade Dong, Dong, Dong; you've finished your countdown, drunk your champagne, sang Old Langs Syne and even watched the fireworks from your garden and then you think, time for some more partying? Well, for most of the world maybe, but for twenty nine members of the Greater London North Jamboree Unit it was time for bed as in eight or so hours time we were getting up to mark the start of 2007 and the Centenary of Scouting by taking part in the Lord Mayors parade through London. |
GLN Jamboree Unit - The first to Hylands Park?
As part of their fund raising activities the Enfield District members of the Greater London North Jamboree Unit under took a hike to Hylands Park, the site of the World Scout Jamboree in 2007. |
Greater London North Jamboree Unit Cream Tea
The GLN Jamboree Unit were in action again on Sunday 3 September at Scout Park. They supported the Galleon Fellowship who had organised a Cream Tea in order in order to raise funds for the Unit. |
Jamboree Unit at Summer Fete
On Saturday 1 July the Southgate members of Greater London North Jamboree Unit attended the St Johns Church in Palmers Green as part of the summer fete. |
