World Scout Jamboree 2007 (25 Jun 06 3:01pm)
As you should be aware, up and coming fast is the next world scout jamboree in Hylands Park, Chelmsford 2007. It may seem like a long way away to most but with an exciting year ahead planned, time will fly. In the Greater London North contingent, there are 36 young people aged from 14-18 and, 4 leaders. 6 of the young people from Southgate!
We all came together for the first time as a unit at Scout Park one Saturday. Everybody was anxious with anticipation but soon became friendly with each other. The day consisted of team building games and familiar to most, a camp fire. The day was over all too quickly and our unit was already off on their jamboree journey, heads buzzing with excitement.
As it stands we have already an activity camp coming up, and many further events planned as a unit. These are all great opportunities for use to get to know each other better, leaders included.
