Ron Wood Trophy (26 Sep 06 10:34am)

On Sunday 24th of September 2006, two teams from our troop took part in the Ron Wood Trophy in the Chiltern Hills as part of our training for the Chiltern 20 in October. We had one boys team and one girls team competing over a 10km route against four other teams from the 13th and 23rd Southgate all trying to win the trophy.

We were provided with everything we needed and then were set off. Along the way were several 'bases' where we coped with a number of incidents and were scored on our teamwork and the time we took to do it in. At the end all the scores were totalled up for each team and whoever had the most - won the trophy. This year, for the first time since 2001, our troop won - thanks to our girls team, Gemma, Amy, Cinzia and Julia!

Will our troop do as well in the Chiltern 20?

By Cinzia, Acting PL 22nd Southgate (Monday) Troop

The organisers offer their congratulations to the 22nd B Team who won this year's competition and wish to thank everyone who helped make the event possible.
