World Scout Jamboree top fundraisers (17 Mar 07 10:59pm)
Six Southgate Scouts, chosen to be part of this summer's County Unit attending The World Scout Jamboree, have put on an international evening featuring a sumptuous meal and an entertaining quiz. The evening was an outstanding success.
This event was another in the series of World Scout Jamboree fundraising events organised for 150 people. The event was a sellout, with all tickets sold a long time ago.
The lucky people who came along witnessed the Scouts running the whole show. They had planned and managed the evening, prepared the food, cooked it, they served the meal, they decorated the hall, they managed the quiz, they ran the raffle and they cleared up afterwards. Here they are wearing their pink Unit tops looking rather pleased with themselves as the evening raised £2000.
