World Scout Jamboree (16 Oct 07 5:09pm)
No less than 15 young people participated in the biggest Scout event on the world at last summer's World Scout Jamboree.
They met up with 40,000 Scouts from nearly every country in the world, spending 12 days camping at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex.
Nancy from Southgate said "The World Scout Jamboree was amazing. I met up and made friends with Scouts from countries that I had never even heard of before"
Simon from Cockfosters said "It was a truly life changing experience, apart from being great fun. It has taught me a lot about world peace, tolerance and understanding". |
