Adult Award - Gill Dane, District Explorer Scout Commissioner -
Gill has recently taken over the DESC role having been an outstanding Explorer Scout Leader and District Duke of Edinburgh's Award Advisor. Gill was selected as a Greater London North Unit Leader at The World Scout Jamboree because of her outstanding qualities, but had to step down at last minute due to ill health. However, that did not stop Gill from gelling the Unit together and being responsible for a huge amount of fundraising for the Jamboree Unit. Despite not being well, she still managed to attend the Jamboree as an International Service Team member providing incredible support and guidance at a major activity zone during the event which was visited by all 40,000 Scouts from nearly every country in the world.
